How to Follow Through on Healthy Boundaries
Part Three: How To Follow Through With Boundaries
Setting boundaries and following through to ensure your family and friends respect them can take a lot of time and communication to work. It also calls for a lot of patience, understanding, and maturity to straighten things up. People we love and care about will step into our boundaries from time to time. But gently restoring them to the right place will help us set a positive tone and a safe space for communication. Without communication, we are likely to build resentment and anger, which can result in anger and relationship breakdown. Spending time with God and staying rooted in the word can help us communicate with others with self-control, gentleness, kindness, patience, and love to build healthy relationships.
Join today’s Therapy Thursday conversation with me, Lisa, and my friend Lidia Martinez as we talk about setting boundaries, what the scripture says, and how to follow through after setting boundaries to get the people you love to respect them to build strong and healthy relationships.
