Communication 101 Listening, Part 1
Listening is part of communication, and it’s an act of love. Paying attention shows you care, which is important in building relationships and helping others feel heard and freed. It’s through active listening that we feel someone else heart, emotions, and intentions. We all want to be heard and understood, and this is what fosters deep connections. Learning how to listen is key, and there is no better way than learning it from our creator through the word. Training our ears to listen to others starts with training them to hear God by quieting ourselves and focusing on him to get our hearts and mind in the right position. The world is noisy and competing for our attention. Focusing on what is happening around us will not help us pay attention.
